Welcome and bienvenue to the very first edition of Your Woman in Paris, my own little guide to the most visited city in the world.
Thank you for being here, your support means a lot!
In the coming weeks and months, you’ll find lists of my favourite addresses and various compilations of recommendations and advice. Where to shop, eat, drink, party, workout and even get your dress dry cleaned without paying a fortune.
But let’s kick things off with a little ice breaker…
Today I’ll be answering the Paris-themed ‘ASK ME ANYTHING (about living in Paris as a foreigner’) from my Instagram stories earlier this week. If you missed it, fear not! This will be a regular thing for paid subscribers. Subscribing to Your Woman In Paris means you get in on the the insider tips and interaction! I’ve got you babe.
I must also warn you that am going to answer your questions below very honestly. (As in, some of the answers below may not be exactly the ones you want to hear.) You see, I do love living in Paris but it’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, and I feel it’s actually more helpful to give you my clear take on things as a foreigner than to give you the rose-tinted version, and then for you to show up here and hate it, (and therefore hate me.) We’ve all heard of “Paris Syndrome”. So let’s proceed with caution rather than BS.
Lastly, in the immortal words of India Arie:
“Don’t be offended, this is all my opinion, ain’t nothing that I’m saying law.”
And if you’re mostly here for the address book, in my next post I’ll be getting more specific with a list of all my favourite Paris cafes by neighbourhood. Stay tuned!
Now let’s get your questions answered…
